I had the most fun getting “shit” done on this show and obviously messing with you, Jason 😂. Thanks for having me! We can build cool stuff in 4 hours! AWWWW YEAHHH
I see on your channel you’re a Frontend Developer, how were you able to build the backend for the application? I’m really curious because I’m also a FE Developer and I struggle with learning backend.
I am a intern with a company called I C stars thank you for this content this is a 4 month computer programming internship this series is exactly what I needed thank you !
Really enjoying this series, hope it continuous forever - Some unprompted feedback 😃In this episode you really improved the building phase in the video by including some more technical details of what people are up to/trying to do/struggling with :) If there, occasionally, was some b-roll of the relevant code briefly sprinkled in on top of that I think it would be perfect - those of us who are interested will pause 👍Basically highlighting the problem solving a bit more while its happening 🙂 I also think it might be cool to learn more about what people are trying to do after/during the planing phase, so you can follow their "journey" a bit better. That could take away from the "suprise-reveal" during the demo of course, but I personally think the tradeoff would be worth it. EDIT: I see you did pretty much all of that in the next episode 😂So, nvm 😅👍
Season 2 of this should be taking all the apps build and integrate them to be one functional application. Like integrating the monster mapper and the monster identifier apps
I would have built an app called MonsterHelp 😄 Where humans can take a pictures of monsters they find, upload it on the app, add their location and get the nearest monster exterminators to their location. The app can also show tips on how to hide from monsters and suggest quickest paths to a safe zone.
i was thing of if some one could make a reality show for developers with actual drama and challenges and rounds and stuff. And boom this video poped up in my feed
I am a beginner developer who right now feeling so bad about how bad i am at coding because of u lol😂...it would be good if you tell us how long u all have been developing so that we beginners dont feel down
Shrutis project was impressive to me since I havent worked with google maps yet (may be easier than I think though). But all the other 3 apps would be a solid challenge in 4h for people around 2-5y of experience but it depends on how active you are and what you do. If you are very actively learning (like bootcamp style) then you might get there in just 1 year. Or if you do it as a hobby occasionally after 5 years.
@@goosybs can you suggest me a good place to develop my react skills...i finished mosh hamedenis react 18 course... and i was excercising by building clones...but my code is so not clean and i know it

Is JavaScript/ Typescript all these people use? Does anyone else use Go, Java, Python, PHP, Ruby, or any other web dev language besides just JavaScript/ Typescript?
@@shrutikapoor08 Thats definitely not what it is achieving. These people and the way they talk is making most of us realize we know nothing and are not good enough.
You can take on the Web Dev Challenge, too! Hackathon #4 is live until September 9, 2024 - see the rules and join in now: lwj.dev/wdc-hackathon
Thank you so much for the opportunity to participate in this Jason! This was super fun. And I'm still working on that logo...

This was a TON of fun! So many good ideas and a great demo of Convex and Clerk!
This is actually my passion cause I love to code datastructures and create algorithms to sort it out. Web dev animations is a beautiful hobby of mine.
My fav series on youtube RN
thank you so much! 💜
Best RUclips series so far.. Thank you Jason for putting this out 🥰

shurti kapoor knows what we can do in 4 hour's and she kept the app simple and cool. she's clearly the winner here.
When the timer goes off I'd still be trying to squeeze in those last 3 keystrokes and ask if I can finish on Saturday. Heh.
Love this video!! Keep it coming fast. And as an Indian so happy to see Shruti here!!
Thank you ❤. #REPRESENT
Your Videos inspired me to dive into a new coding project.
shurti kapoor really stood out to me , she's really confident in her skills its really beautiful to see
"Figma changed the UI and I have no idea what's going on" - precisely me, all day today 🤣
I don't even dislike it, I'm just feeling very "WHO MOVED MY CHEESE" about everything lol
Ye, I hate how they had to put a lot of things behind a button, making it not only hard to find but also harder to use.

We literally thought of integrating the two apps during the demo! That would be epic!
I as a CSE student enjoyed a lot, In future I also wanted to be participate in this kind of challenges ❤
another beautiful one! cant wait to sign up and start working on it!
stoked to see what you build!
Shruti is definitely my future archetype, put out an MVP in a cool niche, iterate continously from there
did setup in 20 mins 😎
Another awesome and inspiring challenge!
Yesterday I saw Forged in fire and thinking if there's series like this for developers, and I found one! 😄

this is a great idea! there’s a hackathon happening right now where you can submit that app and potentially get rewards 👀

Most likely yes, but that being said if you only have 4 hours to design a web application, your best bet is probably to just use NextJS
if masterchef show was made by a bunch of IT ppl
